'Emerald Lace' has an extremely fine dissected leaf that makes it stand out among weeping lace leaf types. The overall habit is mounding and spreading, often making this tree have a unique shape that gets wider than tall. We expect 'Emerald Lace' to get 3-4 ft in height by 6-8 ft in width in 15 years. Fall color on 'Emerald Lace' is a bright red to deep maroon. 'Emerald Lace' is extremely heat tolerant, cold tolerant and a good vigorous grower. 'Emerald Lace' was found by David Sabo near Charlotte, NC, and introduced into the nursery trade by our friend and nursery legend, the late Del Loucks.

It came in fine shape and is nice and healthy. It's small and quite delicate. We planted it right away and seems to be liking it's environment. We recently went to a private garden near by and saw an way older Emerald lace and saw the beauty of the tree. We have a number of years to go.

It is a healthy plant. The leaves are delicate and lovely. It has an odd angle where the long main branch joins the trunk which makes it seem a little rigid and less graceful. It shipped quickly.
